Truck distances are calculated using data from our partner PTV, ensuring accurate estimations.
Market type
Spot market
Spot is an on-demand transportation. It refers to the arrangement where freight is moved on a one-time basis. Spot freight is typically used when there is an immediate requirement to move cargo or when regular contract capacity is insufficient or unavailable. Spot rates are usually more volatile than contract rates.
Contract market
Contract transportation involves a long-term agreement between the two parts for regular or recurring transportation services. It establishes a committed relationship and guarantees capacity over an extended period, typically spanning months or years.
FTL & LTL
The solution caters to both Full TruckLoad (FTL) and Less than TruckLoad (LTL) shipments, accommodating cargo from 1 to 33 pallets. LTL prices are based on chartering rather than consolidation.
Weight and Volume
The solution requires inputting both the gross weight and volume of the cargo (in pallets, loading meters or cubic meters). The chargeable weight is determined based on the higher value between actual weight and volumetric weight.
❓ Handling One Known Parameter: If only one parameter (weight or volume) is known, you can still proceed with benchmarking. For example, by providing only the weight, using 1 pallet along with the weight will yield appropriate calculations.
❓Handling Unknown Parameters for FTL: In cases where both weight and volume are unknown but it's an FTL shipment, you can input a weight of 24,000 kilograms and 33 pallets.

Fuel Surcharge
Benchmarking can be done with or without a fuel surcharge, separating freight costs from fuel-related surcharges. The fuel surcharge is determined based on fuel cost fluctuations in the country of origin.
Hazardous Goods
Price dispersion is provided for shipments containing hazardous goods, without differentiation between specific hazard classes.
Dates
The benchmarking process provides prices for specific routes on selected dates, including past dates starting from January 1, 2017 to today.
