Sea Long Term
Sea Long Term – Overview
The solution allows benchmarking Sea Long Term rates.
What is Sea Long Term ?
Sea Long Term refers to negotiated maritime freight rates, often based on NAC (Named Account) contracts. These are rates agreed between carriers and shippers (or forwarders) for specific clients, trade lanes, and volumes, typically with a commitment over a longer period (several months to a year).
Geographical Coverage
Our Sea Long Term benchmarking solution is available for seaports and locations across the globe. You provide to the API your precise GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) for both pick-up and delivery locations and the associated service type (see below).
If you’re interested, the full list of seaports that can be benchmarked with Sea Long Term, along with their coordinates and geographical zones, is available on our Open Data portal.
Service Type
You can include the pre and post carriage rates in our benchmark if your location is not an airport. The pre and post carriage rates are specifically for road transportation.
